Volunteers
El Instituto de la Naturaleza y la Sociedad de Oaxaca trabaja con voluntarios prác- ticamente desde su fundación. Hasta 2012 hemos contado con la participación de más de 50 personas idealistas que han aportado generosamente su esfuerzo para el desarrollo de nuestros proyectos.
Solicitan colaborar con nosotros quienes se identifican con nuestros principios y forma de trabajo: una organización de pequeñas dimensiones, adaptable a las peculiares condiciones de Oaxaca, comprometida con su misión y con un estilo flexible y de convivencia.
Buena parte del trabajo de los voluntarios se enfoca en las actividades de campo, en particular en el Centro Demostrativo de Permacultura El Pedregal, en estrecha relación con la gente de la comunidad, aunque también tenemos algunas tareas de oficina en las que es posible involucrarse. Por lo general preferimos estancias largas que permitan un mejor involucramiento de los voluntarios en los proyectos, pero ocasionalmente aceptamos estudiantes entusiastas por periodos cortos.
Desde 2005 hemos recibido a 10 estudiantes de maestría del Bard Center for Enviromental Policy, quienes han hecho valiosas aportaciones a nuestros proyectos, mediante su trabajo voluntario, sus investigaciones de tesis y su calidad humana.

The Institute of Nature and Society of Oaxaca has worked with volunteers practically since its founding. Up to 2012, we had the participation of more than 50 idealistic people who have generously contributed their efforts to the development of our projects.
Those who request to collaborate with us identify with our principles and way of working: we are an organization of small dimensions, adaptable to the peculiar conditions of Oaxaca, committed to our mission, and with a style of flexibility and coexistance.
A large part of the work of the volunteers is focused on field activities, particularly in the Permaculture Demonstration Center El Pedregal, in close relationship with the people of the community, although we also have some office tasks you can get involved with. We generally prefer longer stays that allow better involvement of the volunteers in the projects, but we occasionally accept enthusiastic students for shorter periods.
Since 2005, we have received 10 master students of Bard Center for Environmental Policy, who have made valuable contributions to our projects, through their volunteer work, their thesis research and human quality.
