"El Pedregal"
Recorridos / Tours
El Pedregal ofrece visitas guiadas a su Centro de Permacultura en dos niveles:
ADULTOS – Todos los jueves hacemos recorridos guiados para personas, grupos o comunidades que lo soliciten.
NIÑOS – Todos los viernes, de mediados de mayo a mediados de noviembre, recibimos grupos de niños, quienes mediante juegos y diversas experiencias creativas y divertidas pueden comprender de manera directa el ciclo del agua y la manera en que todo está relacionado en la naturaleza, de la que son parte. Estas visitas recreativas son para grupos organizados, ya sea de escuelas, colonias o comunidades, no mayores de 20 niños, acompañados de dos adultos. La edad deseable es entre 7 y 12 años. Se les solicita una cooperación voluntaria para apoyar el proyecto.
En el Centro Demostrativo El Pedregal, además de regenerar la cañada para recuperar su capacidad de captar y filtrar agua, hemos tratado de establecer un sistema que integre armoniosamente diversos módulos productivos con los elementos naturales, a partir de opciones técnicas alternativas que puedan reproducirse después en otros lugares de la cuenca. Hacemos obras para filtrar agua al subsuelo; revegetamos con plantas nativas; retenemos la tierra que arrastra la lluvia; producimos orgánicamente; cultivamos plantas en vivero; producimos diversos abonos naturales; construimos con técnicas alternativas; regamos de manera eficiente; utilizamos diversas ecotecnias; criamos peces, etc.

El Pedregal offers guided tours of its Permaculture Center at two levels:
ADULTS – Every Thursday we have guided tours for individuals, groups or communities that request them.
CHILDREN – Every Friday, from mid-May to mid-November, we receive groups of children, who, through games and various fun and creative experiences, can directly understand the water cycle and how everything is related in the natural world of which they are part. These recreational visits are for organized groups–whether they are schools, neighborhoods or communities—of no more than 20 children, accompanied by two adults. The desirable age is between 7 and 12 years. Voluntary cooperation is requested for the support of the project.
At the Demonstration Center El Pedregal, aside from regenerating the glen to restore its ability to capture and filter water, we have tried to establish a system that harmoniously integrates diverse productive modules with natural elements, starting with alternative technical options that later can be reproduced elsewhere in the watershed. We develop techniques to filter water into the subsoil; we revegetate the area with native plants; we retain the earth that the rain washes away; we produce organically; we grow plants in the nursery; we produce a variety of natural fertilizers; we build with alternative construction techniques; we irrigate efficiently, we utilize various ecological technologies, we raise fish etc.
